Holiday Tragedy Turns into Community Outpour of Generosity
What should have been a beautiful day for the Beaujean family turned tragic. Early on Easter morning, Tammy Beaujean, a chef at She Sings Café in Mayville, NY, was busy prepping for brunch when she received a chilling call from family that her house, that she had longed saved up to purchase, was burning down. As she rushed home to find the devastation, the miracle story began when she learned that everyone inside had miraculously gotten out safely.
Community Rallies to Aid Family Who Lost Everything in Easter Fire
Since the fire, She Sings Cafe has been able to raise $6,125 through their Go Fund Me page, as well as $800 donated in cash. Although the fundraiser has raised quite a bit of funds, Beaujean lost not only her house but all her possessions as well — “lucky, the only thing she did not lose was her loved ones,” Magnuson said.
